SEEDS of Healing, Inc.

LeShonda Wallace is a Family Nurse Practitioner, HIV Care Provider and Integrative Health Coach. Currently she practices at New Hanover Regional Medical Center HIV Care Team located in Wilmington, North Carolina. In addition to her clinical practice as an HIV Care Provider, she is the Founder and Executive Director for Sustaining Empowerment by Educating and Developing Sisters or SEEDS of Healing, Incorporated (SOH, Inc.).  In 2015, Dr. Wallace began SEEDS in memory of her mother, Luwana “Pumpkin” Daniels to assist women with similar experiences of living with HIV as her mother.  SOH, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization that provides HIV prevention services and promotes retention in care for women living with HIV in the southeast region of North Carolina; through collaborative projects with both community and faith based organizations.  Some of Dr. Wallace’s professional involvement include: member of the New Hanover County Board of Health, Health Committee Chair of New Hanover County NAACP, President and founder of the Sandhills Black Nurses Association, the host of SOH Time, a community health radio talk show that provides information and supports the local community in their efforts to strive for wellness; and a mentor to adolescent girls, novice nurses and nurses pursuing their career in advanced practice. Throughout her years of providing HIV/AIDS services she continues to follow her passion to educate and promote awareness of disparities in health for disenfranchised groups. Her mission remains to close the gap in health care inequities and continue to be an advocate of quality care for all.
