Lewis Wallace is an independent journalist, and an editor at Scalawag Magazine. He previously worked in public radio, and he is a long-time agitator around prison issues and queer and trans liberation. Lewis`s journalism focuses on the voices of people who are geographically, economically and politically marginalized, and it has won many local and national awards. He’s currently working on a book for University of Chicago Press about the history of "objectivity" in U.S. journalism, and how it has been used to suppress diverse voices.
Lewis Wallace is an independent writer, editor and multimedia journalist. He is the State Politics Editor at Scalawag, and has previously worked for public radio's Marketplace in the New York bureau. Before that, Lewis was the economics reporter and managing editor at WYSO Public Radio in Yellow Springs, Ohio. Lewis got a start in radio as a Pritzker Journalism Fellow at WBEZ in Chicago.
